Recently, she made her directorial debut for the film short The God Who Sees, starring Nicole C. Mullen. They both co-wrote and composed the soundtrack for this film. Gifford gives support to many organizations for children, like Childhelp. She is also a member of an organization called the Association to Benefit Children, which spawned Cassidy's Place. An ardent humanitarian, she was awarded an honorary degree from Marymount University for her humanitarian activities in labor relations.
